How does a pay-as-you-go model work for me and my business?

Most agencies work on a retainer: a fixed monthly fee, locked in for six or twelve months. It starts well, then a few months in the senior people have moved on to the next pitch and you’re paying the same invoice without being sure what it’s buying. We believe retainers make agencies lazy, because the money arrives whether the work is great or not. They make clients lazy too, because when the hours are already paid for, nobody stops to ask whether it’s still the right work.

So we work differently.

Everything at Gambit Collective is pay-as-you-go:

  1. You tell us what you need. It might be a brand refresh, a strategy or campaign, CRM management, a personal branding workshop or an brand experience.

  2. We scope it and price it. You know what you’re getting, who’s doing it and what it costs before anything starts.

  3. We build the team around the brief. We pull in our senior specialists to suit the job, so you only pay for the skills the brief needs.

  4. We deliver, and then you decide what’s next. Keep going, scale up for a big moment, pause in a quiet period, or stop. There’s no contract holding you in.
