OPINION: Hiding behind the lens.

In a world dominated by social media, posting and how you present yourself, there can definitely be some confusion as to what is actually real?

The lens of social media can create a facade that shields our vulnerabilities but it is these vulnerabilities that make us stand out - So why hide them? 

Authentic connection begins with vulnerability - Peel back the layers and confront your insecurities in order to attract your audience, and allow others to resonate with your struggles and experiences .

In order to help your social media platform be more authentic I have provided 3 key pieces of advice:

Be genuine 💛
Rather than protecting an image of perfection make yourself vulnerable and share the your experiences, thoughts and feelings. Viewers then have a chance to relate and build connections through this to you, making it feel more personal! 

Give value to your posts 🤩
Post with meaning not just for self promotion. Share your stories and experiences that are significant to you, not just what is considered trendy right now - Whilst you want to attract an audience you want to attract the right audience!

Share what you have learned 📖
Don’t hesitate to share your journey and the ups and downs you have faced - No one’s path is linear and the hurdles you overcome are what have got you to where you are. This shows followers it’s about improvement, not perfection.
